Malena Benitez is a Miami native, former Division II athlete, and co-founder of Basketball For Girls. She currently serves as the head coach of the girls’ basketball program at Gulliver Prep in Coral Gables, Florida. With over 8 years of experience coaching youth basketball across South Florida, Malena specializes in skill acquisition, decision-making, and building strong, confident players.Her coaching style blends structure, creativity, and positivity—making her sessions both effective and enjoyable. Through Basketball For Girls, Malena is focused on creating a community where girls of all levels can grow, compete, and feel empowered through the game.
